disABLEdperson Inc. announces its Fall 2008 Nationally Based College Scholarship Competition for disabled college students. disABLEDperson Inc. will be holding their fall 08 nationally based scholarship competition for disABLED college students beginning August 6th 2008 and ending October 10th 2008 for the sum of $750.00 (Seven Hundred and Fifty). We are proud to help the disabled community. Please pay attention to the rules of this scholarship competition. They will be strictly enforced. Any essay that does not follow all the rules will be disqualified. To participate is simple, you need to do the following; its a two step process. The first step is to go to www.disABLEDperson.com/articles/fall08.asp . Once there, you need to completely fill out the form and submit it. The next step is to write an essay that answers the question and email the essay to us in the body of an email to disabledpersons@aol.com . PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO PUT YOUR NAME ON THE ESSAY IN THE EMAIL. “Scholarship Competition Rules” 1) All required information must be filled into the form supplied. If you leave any blanks in the form, you will be disqualified. Also, should you place false information into the form, you will be disqualified. Next, you must submit the essay to us in the body of an email to disabledpersons@aol.com . Do not forget to place your name on the essay! 2) Proper spelling and grammar is imperative. As college students, you need to hold yourself to a high standard. Chronic misspellings and bad grammar will hurt your chances of winning. 3) You need to be enrolled in a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university in the United States of America and actively taking a minimum of 12 credits (full time) to be eligible. Prior to the winner being awarded the scholarship, that individual will have to present to disABLEDperson Inc. an unofficial transcript from their school. If the winner can not demonstrate that they are taking a full time course load in a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university in the United States, then disABLEDperson Inc. will award the scholarship to another student. We realize that some in our community may not be able to attend school full time because of their disability. However, we stand by our decision that the winner of our competition must be enrolled with a minimum of 12 credits because the financial burden of attending college full time is greater that the financial burden of attending college part time. 4) Students must be citizens of the United States of America and enrolled in a 2 or 4 year accredited college or university in the United States. Please be prepared to demonstrate citizenship if we ask. 5) The winner will have to offer proof of their disability. This can be done simply by the applicant being registered with the Office of Disability at their respective institution and having the Office of Disability sending us an email to that effect. 6) The definition of disability that disABLEDperson Inc. uses for its scholarship competition is; A disadvantage or deficiency, especially a physical or mental impairment that interferes with or prevents normal achievement in a particular area. Something that hinders or incapacitates. 7) The length of the essay must not exceed 1000 words. Essays exceeding that number will be disqualified. 8) All decisions made by disABLEDperson Inc. are final.

The information accumulated during this competition may be used for statistical purposes. Essay question: What do you believe is the state of Social Security in America? Will it go broke as some say? If you believe it will, how would you fix it?
